Incentivados pelo governo, criminosos ligados ao agronegócio predatório promoveram o “dia do Fogo” em agosto passado (período de seca) numa clara demonstração de afronta às leis brasileiras. Ativistas ambientais e indígenas foram recentemente assassinados e inclusive os fiscais do Obama e ICMBio tem sofrido perseguições políticas e tem visto seu trabalho restringido. Essa agressão brutal à maior floresta tropical do mundo ameaça espécies vulneráveis. A biodiversidade da Amazônia é única no mundo e está ameaçada pela expansão descontrolada de plantações de soja e pecuária para abastecer o mercado externo de carne bovina. Este trabalho é um chamado consciência contra esse governo que, com seu negacionismo da emergência climática, ameaça à toda Humanidade.
